Birds of Vancouver Island

I think it's no secret that I like birds. I'm not going to spend 30 years tracking them down, though.
A retired curator from the Royal B.C. Museum on Vancouver Island has put together a field guide to birds on the island. While Keith Taylor gather all the information on his own, the project has flown the coop and is now available as a free Google Picasa gallery: Birds Of Vancouver Island.
I've never thought of Picasa as a publishing platform before. It's a little clunky but it seems to work. It looks like a nice free resource for the occasional birder or visitor to use without needing to buy a bird book.
